Beautiful & Elegant, Copperplate calligraphy has long been popular for formal correspondence such as invitations, announcements and envelopes. Using an oblique pen holder and a flexible pointed steel nib dipped in ink, pressure and release techniques create thick and thin strokes to produce this lovely, graceful script.
*Basic supplies (pen holder, 2 nibs, small ink & holder and Copperplate practice paper) will be provided for purchase from the instructor. Other supplies required are a small water holder, ruler, #2 pencils, several sheets of regular copy paper or a ruled pad.
The instructor will provide additional information during the first class about ongoing supply requirements.
